no coping? no problem!

the follow up to last years "gapin' that hip" (held at the
oldest skatepark in the country) is now a 2 part jam series,
being held at not only the historic snake-run at seylynn,
but now also at william griffin bowl in north vancouver.
it's less competitive than the cdn ccnrt series, and we encourage
riders of all skill levels and ages to come out and ride, and
win prizes just for shredding. the pros get the cash at these
jams too. plus, there is absolutely no entry fee to be had for
anyone! just bring your bike and a helmet, and be ready to
hit up 2 of the oldest and most fun skateparks in canada!

RIP carver Don Hartley
Carver Don was an inspiration to us all who either saw him skate, or were fortunate enough to session with him. His style was timeless, and his positivity and energy was something we could only dream of having, at any age.our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

kirkstone results and pics
laptop crashed, it's done now...
check the main killemallpromotions page for the link to amazing pics courtesy of Adam Johnston, and all of the results of the Kirkstone jam, totally rad dude.
it was an amazing time. here's the press release for it:
Kirkstone was without a doubt the biggest and best cdn cncrt event we’ve had in the last 4 years! The proof was over 60 people turning up to enter and ride, as well as tricks getting done in this park that have never been done, huge transfers, massive fly-outs to the grass field over the ridiculous height fence, as well as the young riders throwing down bigger than they should be able to.
Highlights from the jam included:
- Under 13 years old winner, Nathan Royes, riding harder and better than guys twice his age. Full on park local, and you could tell from his flow.
- Anthony Messere making the jump after all these years from the young guns class, to am “good” and winning it with ease. He was boosting at pretty much pro level over the hip (check the pics for height)
- The great class was stacked, the biggest class of the day, and some huge surprises. The main one being IK Soon, as double tailwhips to tailtap in the big quarterpipe area, are kind of on that next level for a young am. He was going huge on these, more like a gigantic flyout, no wonder he won!
- Pro class was unreal, 10 people deep, as intense as you can imagine. What the announcer RT stated sums it all up perfectly, “We're going to run them until they’re done!” and big moves got thrown down.
- Nik Muryn hung five around the entire deck of the park, and combined with whips, big airs, he ties for third.
- George Bolter rode like a local with huge airs, transfers, and just generally killed it. Tie him for third as well.
- Wade llajlar (macneil, etnies, LRG) was throwing down his huge signature flairs, but throwing a toboggan in the middle of them for fun. Second place!
- First place? Jason Teet got it again at his home park. Huge rail manual, first 180ing over the big fence, and then, what the hell, throw in a 360 or good measure. Sturdy wrists indeed! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, please hook this guy up, he kills it (and himself) and deserves some flow.
- Random events happened as well, and we couldn’t leave any of those out:
- Mc frogger (Jason Enn’s favourite mc) took third in the good class. Stoked!
- Announcer RT was told he looked like a young riders father, but the way he looked like when he was in high school in the early 80’s…hesh!
- From the windows to the walls? “Jason Skeet Skeet Skeet just jumped over Sam Lowe’s Hernia!” best bmx comment ever made in an event in Canada. Truth. Thank you little Jon.
- Veteran Canadian vert rider, Mel Gooder, not only judged the event (along side an injured Sam Lowe [wtp, primo, etnies] and J from feeblebmx.com) but shredded hard in the over 30 class. Combine that with his daughter’s renegade lemonade stand, and its win win for everyone there!
- Product toss at the end got out of control when $150 cdn pedals start getting thrown out. Stoked and bruised kids, a ton of gear to give out, a little heat stroke, combine it all, and you’ve got mayhem.
We’ll see you at Lafarge Park, Coquitlam BC, on July 26th!
(And if you’re from out of area, think Osato’s famous sequence of the whip to manual, to whip back in. yep, that’s the park)
big thanks to all our sponsors:
